Senior Human Resources Advisor
Full-Time | Pimpama Campus (with travel across campuses)
We are seeking applications for a Senior Human Resources Advisor to join our expanding HR team. This senior role is suited to an experienced HR professional who brings strong advisory capability, leadership experience, and a commitment to supporting staff and organisational growth within an expanding Christian school community.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Senior HR Advisor will provide high-level operational and strategic HR support across the organisation. The role plays a key part in shaping HR practices, supporting leaders, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
This position will be based predominantly at our Pimpama campus, with regular travel across our Reedy Creek, Pimpama, and Logan Village campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing senior-level advice on HR policies, procedures, and workforce initiatives
- Supporting and mentoring HR team members and providing guidance to leaders across the organisation
- Leading end-to-end recruitment processes, including workforce planning, role design, advertising, interviewing, and onboarding
- Managing complex employee relations matters, including grievances, misconduct, performance management, and investigations
- Overseeing onboarding, induction, and staff lifecycle processes
- Preparing high-quality reports, documentation, and recommendations for the Director of Human Resources and Executive team
- Ensuring employment practices and working conditions comply with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
- Contributing to continuous improvement of HR systems, processes, and culture
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Significant HR experience in a senior advisory capacity (experience in a school or education environment is highly desirable)
- Qualifications or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations, and HR best practice
- Proven ability to manage complex and sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion
- Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities across all levels of the organisation
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement
Experience with intelliHR and TASS software will be highly regarded but is not essential.
Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
This is a Full Time position, Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.
