Year 11 Honours Service

Academic

On Tuesday, 6 May, we gathered to celebrate the Year 11 Honours Service, recognising students for their outstanding achievements in Academics, Performing Arts, and Service from Semester 2, 2024, and Unit 1 of Year 11.

Academic Honours were awarded to students who achieved 80% or higher in two or more subjects, a fantastic reflection of their effort and commitment. This year saw a noticeable rise in students achieving Gold Academic Honours for attaining 80% in five subjects or maintaining a 90%+ average, reflecting their growing dedication and focus in their studies.

Arts Honours celebrated students involved in Drama, Dance, and Music, including participation in groups such as the College Choir, Dance Troupe, King’s Souldiers & Rock Band, as well as the Queensland Theatre’s Scene Project and Gold Coast Drama Fest. Community Service Honours were presented to students who gave generously of their time through service at King’s and in the wider community, including regional and overseas mission trips.

We are incredibly proud of these students and the way they continue to live out our foundational values with excellence and purpose.
