Running with Heart: Year 4 Students Take on 10km Challenge for Charity
We are excited to share a remarkable initiative taken by two of our Year 4 students, Riggins and Tavita. These courageous young boys are running 10km on June 22 to raise awareness and funds for people facing tough times. In their homes, these students have had heartfelt conversations with their families about the lack of food, housing, and safety that many people face every day. This includes families suffering from food insecurity, those displaced for various reasons beyond their control, and those who have lost homes due to natural disasters. These discussions have deeply moved Riggins and Tavita, who set an ambitious goal of raising $50,000, which will be donated to Convoy of Hope, an organisation focused on serving the poor, marginalised, and vulnerable. They have already raised $9,731 and we are incredibly proud of their efforts and are rallying behind them as they train and show just how huge their hearts are for others.
