Premier’s Reading Challenge 2026 – Let’s Get Reading!

Encouraging A Lifelong Love Of Reading
The Premier’s Reading Challenge is now underway for students from Prep to Year 9. This statewide initiative encourages students to develop a lifelong love of reading while strengthening literacy, imagination, and confidence.
To successfully complete the challenge, students are required to read or experience:
Prep to Year 2: 20 books
Years 3 and 4: 20 books
Years 5 to 9: 15 books
The reading period runs until 28 August, with record forms due to the library by 4 September. Record forms can be collected from the library throughout the challenge. We encourage all students to take part, set personal reading goals, and enjoy exploring a variety of books suited to their interests and reading level. Families can support their children by reading together, discussing books, and celebrating their progress along the way.
