In December, the best of the best school athletes gathered in Perth for the Australian All Schools Championships. Nylah Goble-Lote secured GOLD on Day One in the u15 girls hammer with a winning throw of 49.41m, defending her 2022 title. Charlee Vincent placed 5th in her u15 girls 200m heat and 10th overall, while also contributing to a silver in the 4x100m relay. On Day Two, Nylah clinched SILVER in Shot Put (12.65m), and Chelsea Capps earned 4TH PLACE in u15 Javelin (39.36m). Charlee capped the event with a 7th-place finish in the 100m final (12.62). The trio participated in six events, securing top-8 finishes in five and collecting three medals. Congratulations girls!

In the 2023 Schools Challenge, Anna Igari and Nylah Goble-Lote represented King's while Alyssa McDonald was unfortunately absent due to illness. In the Long Jump, Anna achieved a commendable 4.28m and 7th place in the 100m (14.00). Nylah triumphed in Shot Put, beating her All Schools performance with a final throw of 12.93m. King's Sport hope is to send extra teams next year to provide more students with the opportunity to experience top-level athletics. We extend wishes for Alyssa's speedy recovery and anticipate her return to the track soon.
