Fun Start to School Year in Year 5

After a long holiday and a week of online learning, I was so excited to be back at school again with all of my friends!

The first week back was amazing!  It was so lovely to hear about everyone’s holiday and all the fun things people did. I loved seeing my new class and meeting my teachers. We had a full and fun first week at school. The Year 5’s have been learning about space. We did training to become astronauts, definitely my favourite of the week. We also wrote a story inspired by Willy Wonka, had our swimming carnival and ended off our first week with chapel, learning about the 3 R’s which are retrieve, respect and receive. Each one of us got a wristband to help remind us to think about what Jesus would do in different situations. 

What a great start! I’m looking forward to seeing what God has in store for each one of us this year!
