Creative by Design 2023
CREATIVE BY DESIGN Week (CBD) has been a favourite annual tradition in our Primary School since 2006 and we’ve just wrapped up another amazing CBD Week at King’s! Our 2023 CBD theme was The Explorers - Discovering HiStory and students were taken on an exciting adventure as they explored the depths of God's great love for the world He created. Chapels focussed on the greatest love story of all and God's gift of His only Son to save our planet. CBD Week began on Monday, 11 September, with a captivating Laser Show and t-shirt decorating. This year's exciting schedule included incredible daily Chapels for every year level, visits to the Book Fair, VR activities facilitated by CQ University, King's Has Talent Grand Finals, art and songwriting masterclasses, Spanish Scavenger Hunts, a Colour Run, and much more!
Our Primary community all enjoyed growing their creative capacity and their relationship with God throughout CBD 2023. Thank you to our Chaplaincy team and our Primary School staff for organising another unforgettable CBD week for our students!
2023 Colour Run
CBD concluded with a bang on Thursday, 14 September, as pops of brightly-coloured powder burst into the atmosphere for our Colour Run fun. With bright smiles on their faces and even brighter colours on their CBD t-shirts, our primary students crossed the finish line of the Colour Run track with many happy memories of a fantastic week and an amazing Term 3 at King's.
CBD Art Competition
King's Art Department ran an art competition as part of CBD week to encourage students to hone their artistic skills in any medium they choose. There were many impressive entries, making it a tough decision for this year's judges. Congratulations to our 2023 Primary Art Competition Winners!

King's Has Talent Competition
One of the highlights of our Creative By Design week was the finals of King’s Has Talent, held on the last day of Term 3. The performers displayed an outstanding level of skill, dedication, confidence, and commitment. Their God-given talents were on full display for our school community, and their peers cheered loudly and proudly during our auditions, semi-finals and finals. This year, our competition expanded into two categories for each division. The 'Rising Stars' category was new and designed for students who have recently started learning their 'talent.' The 'Next Level' category catered for students with more experience and more developed talents. We recognise and thank all students who participated in King's Has Talent this year.
Congratulations to all of our finalists who received a certificate and voucher to enjoy over the upcoming holidays:
